Norfolk Non-Stop. Programme notes
At the King of Hearts, Fye Bridge. March 16th - 23rd, 2003 [map]
Norfolk is an incredible, unusual and surprising place. Just walking down the street, you can end up embroiled in some kind of intrigue or other, life here could almost be described as a Festival of drama in itself.
Norfolk Non-Stop brings together some of the best talent around to put something of the essence of 'Norfolkness' on the stage. There are no footlights to dazzle you, no special effects to make you gasp. Just stories and journeys which, for a few hourse each night, we all share.
What with Sid Kipper's Cod and Ships, Patience Tomlinson's thoughtful A Tale that is Told and Spin-Off's high energy re-telling of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice: Mardling the Bard, this Festival has something for every taste. There's also the chance for you to get involved, with masterclasses, schools' workshops and on-going writers' courses.
So go on, give your arm chair an hour off!
