The Wrong Woman & The 39 Steps

Play Off Productions is a spin-off of Spin Off Theatre! The Wrong Woman and The 39 Steps is a double bill of live theatre and a showing of a Hollywood classic.

In 1931, when the car drove through Holt and on to Melton Constable, few people knew that it contained one of the most famous early film actresses this country had produced. Audiences will hear Hollywood star Madeleine Carroll's memories about the making of Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 version of The Thirty Nine Steps, prior to watching the film (so much more exciting on the big screen).

This half-hour performance leads into a screening of the pre-wartime film classic.
